Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Milli, the service at trymilli.com. They sit alongside your engagement letter - the agreement you sign in the app that makes us your accountants and governs the professional work (its scope, responsibilities and liability). Where these terms and a signed engagement letter overlap on professional matters, the engagement letter wins.
Who you are contracting with
Milli is a trading name of Dotsytine Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under number 06888782. References to “we” and “us” in these terms mean that company.
What Milli is
Milli is an AI-native accounting service for UK sole traders and small limited companies. Day-to-day work is prepared by our AI systems and reviewed by our accountant team; a named human is always accountable for your engagement. Nothing is submitted to HMRC or Companies House without your explicit, recorded approval.
Your account
Keep your login method (your email inbox) secure - it is how you access everything. You must be at least 18 and using Milli for a genuine UK business. Give us accurate information: our work is only as good as what it is based on, and responsibility for the accuracy of information you provide stays with you.
Subscription and billing
Milli is a monthly subscription, billed in advance by card through Stripe. You can cancel any time from your account settings; your subscription then runs to the end of the paid period. Work outside your engagement letter's scope is quoted and agreed before it starts. If a payment fails we will tell you and retry before anything is restricted.
Approvals are yours
Every filing we prepare is presented to you for approval before submission. Approving tells us the information in it is, to the best of your knowledge, accurate and complete. We will never move money on your behalf, and we will never ask for your Government Gateway or bank login - no one legitimate will.
Acceptable use
Don't use Milli to break the law - including providing false information to HMRC or Companies House, money laundering, or attempting to access other clients' data. We can suspend or end accounts that do, and legal obligations may require us to report certain activity.
Intellectual property
The platform, its software and its content are ours. Your data is yours: you can export it, and if you leave we will hand your records and workings to you or your new accountant promptly.
Liability
Liability for the professional accountancy work is set out in your engagement letter. For the platform itself, our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Ending things
You can stop using Milli at any time; either of us can end the relationship as described in your engagement letter. Statutory record-keeping survives account closure (see our privacy policy).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
If we make material changes to these terms we will tell you in the app before they take effect.
